The Ventnor City Police Department maintains a staff of trained 9-1-1 Operators who use an enhanced 9-1-1 system that displays the name, address and telephone number of the person calling for help.  In the event of an emergency that has caused you to dial 9-1-1and you can no longer stay on the line whether because of fire, serious illness or a crime in progress, we will know where the call was originated from and help will be on the way.

The Communications Operators answer approximately 97.88% of all 9-1-1 calls in less than 10 seconds. Over 6,000 9-1-1 calls are handled by the Ventnor City Police Communications Operators during an average calendar year.
