The City of Ventnor City Finance Office is the centralized financial services and reporting location for the City.  The Office is regulated by the State of New Jersey.  The main functions of the Office fall within the following parameters: Accounting, Budgeting, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and Payroll.

More specifically the functions of the Finance Office include:

• Maintaining the books and records of all financial transactions
• Controlling operating and capital budgets
• Investing surplus funds
• Managing Debt
• Custodian of all public funds
• Assisting in the budget preparation
• Developing internal control procedures
• Providing guidance & support to the Mayor, Commissioners and Department Heads
• Payment of bills & claims
• Processing all payroll
• Collection of General Revenues
