Water Service Disruption - Tuesday, October 27

Ventnor City residents in portions of Ventnor Heights should prepare for a temporary water service disruption on Tuesday, October 27, beginning between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, due to an emergency water main repair.

The affected area will be between the 800-block of North Dorset Avenue and the 800-block of North Surrey Avenue, between Marshall and Burke Avenues, including the Crown Key development.

Additional properties along Dorset, Surrey and Burke Avenues may also be affected. The exact perimeter properties that will lose water supply are unknown until the shut-off has been completed.

Repairs are expected to take several hours. An exact time for water service restoration is not yet available.

Residents are advised to prepare for the disruption by having bottled water or to have water filled kitchen pots available for use in morning food preparation and morning hygiene uses.

Once water service has been restored, residents are advised to turn on their cold water and allow it to run to clear any debris or discoloration that may have settled in the pipes during the shutdown before drinking tap water or washing clothes.

Ventnor City will provide updates through the CodeRED emergency notification system and social media when water service has been restored.

Please refer to the attached map for the anticipated affected area.
