Phase 2 Boardwalk Reconstruction Begins October 12

The City of Ventnor advises residents and visitors that Phase 2 of the Boardwalk Reconstruction Project will begin on October 12, 2026. This phase includes the full demolition and rebuilding of the boardwalk between Suffolk Avenue and Jackson Avenue, along with the installation of new railings, new ADA‑compliant ramps, and upgraded lighting.

In advance of the construction zone being fenced off on October 12, the Public Works Department will begin preparing the area by removing existing showers, benches, trash receptacles, signage, and banners.

Once the contractor installs fencing around the construction and staging areas, public access will not be permitted until the project is complete.
