Construction Update on ACUA Wastewater Pump Station

Construction will continue over the next few months at the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) Ventnor-Margate Pump Station, located at the corner of Wellington Ave and Lafayette Ave in Ventnor City. 

Starting the week of November 11, a temporary bypass of the pump station will be put in place in order to complete the replacement of the existing pump station electrical equipment. The bypass is expected to last 6 weeks. During this time, Atlantic City Electric will also be on-site replacing the incoming service feed and replacing existing poles adjacent to the Pump Station. 

Motorists are advised to use extra caution when driving through the work zone. Once the bypass is complete, additional site work will follow including the relocation of the entrance driveway on Lafayette Ave, repaving of the pump station site, replacement of the existing site fence, and general site restoration. Work is anticipated to last approximately 3 months, weather depending.
