Ventnor Public Works Will Accept Trash and Recycling Container Donations for Philadelphia Residents in Need

Ventnor residents: put your old trash and recycling containers to good use!

Thanks to City Bright Philadelphia, a nonprofit organization founded by Adam Kesselman, your older receptacles can be repurposed and given to Philadelphia residents who cannot afford or are unable transport a trash or recycling can to their home.

Through Labor Day weekend, the City of Ventnor will accept older containers at its Public Works Yard located at 101 N Cornwall Avenue every Saturday and Sunday between 8am and 12pm. City Bright Philadelphia will transport the donated receptacles to Philadelphia residents.

“The City is happy to partner with City Bright Philadelphia to share these containers with those in need,” said Commissioner Lance Landgraf. “Many residents may still be looking for a way to dispose of old containers after the new carts were delivered, and this is a great opportunity to put them to good use.”

This initiative is being supported by generous donations from Ventnor residents Bruce and Nadine Goldenberg, Mark and Sue Rabinowitz, and Mark and Kris Soffa as well as Philadelphia businessmen Tobias Biddle of Quality Real Estate and Paul Rabinowitz Glass & Shore Cans LLC. Their donations will cover the cost to clean and transport the trash containers.
