ABOUT US

The Ventnor City fishing pier, located at Cambridge Avenue and the Boardwalk, measures 1000 feet and is the longest of the state’s ocean fishing piers!  We are open 24 hours/days for yearly keyholders for fishing and sightseeing. The pier boasts benches, cleaning tables, and lighting for nighttime fishing. Come on out and enjoy a beautiful day of fishing or just taking in the sights.

PIER HISTORY

The city of Ventnor has long enjoyed having an iconic pier grace its shores. At least three piers have previously existed; the first pier was built around 1914 but was replaced by a larger pavilion. Fire destroyed the second pier in August of 1940, after which a third pier was built to replace the damaged one. That pier was destroyed in a storm in March 1963.  The current pier underwent a nine-month $3.2 million renovation project in 2007 and reopened on July 4, 2008.

Our Pier is staffed from mid- April-thru September from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Beginning July 1, the Pier will be open 8 a.m. to 12 Midnight Fridays and Saturdays. 

New keys will be available for purchase at the Pier Master Kiosk beginning Monday April 22, 2024. Cash Only.

PIER SHACK

The successful and independently operated Pier Shack is returning for the 2024 season. Treat yourself to a cold/hot beverage, hot dog or snack. 

Pier Shack Offerings: Hot Dogs, Snacks, and Non-Alcoholic Beverages.

Opens May 25, 2024. 7 Days Per Week 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
