Nor'Easter Update

A major nor’easter will affect the region Thursday, March 1, through Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Precipitation will be moving into the area from the southwest late Thursday, falling heavy at times through Friday before ending late Friday night. Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected.
Winds will become northwest and increase rapidly Friday morning with speeds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts 50 to 65 mph through Friday evening before diminishing Friday night and Saturday. Downed trees and power lines are likely.
Minor to locally moderate coastal flooding is expected on the New Jersey coast during high tide Friday, with moderate to locally major flooding possible on the Atlantic coast and the Saturday.
Beach erosion can also be expected Friday and Saturday.
